About Us
We are a resource recovery firm, and our approach is simple yet compelling. We take an abundant waste resource (scrap tires) and apply a tried and tested technology (pyrolysis) to generate valuable products with universal demand (carbon black, oil, gas, and steel).
Scrap tires are a growing environmental nightmare. We generate more than we can recycle, and leftovers are either stockpiled, buried, or burned for fuel. Health concerns relating to recycled and burned tires are growing; meanwhile scrap tire stockpiles create havens for disease and vermin.
We have the solution
Our approach is environmentally friendly and commercially attractive. Our patented technology process minimizes carbon footprint while maximizing benefits to society and the economy. Over time, our technology holds tremendous potential for developing advanced environmental solutions for various industrial applications.
Our unique technology process cleanly and completely converts used tires back to their original materials – carbon black, oil, gas, and steel – all high quality and readily marketable commodities with global demand.
By reclaiming all of a tire’s components in usable form, we complete the cycle of sustainability for industrial users of these end products, such as tire manufacturers, plastics and publishing industries, etc., thereby making our products extremely attractive to industry players. By acquiring our products, tire companies can “green” their own production processes.
Global demand for our technology is particularly strong in the US and Europe – where currently a very large proportion of used tires are burnt for fuel – and across Asia where demand for our end products is strong and growing.
In launching the first commercial facility, we are partnering with leading international and local players. Our flagship facility in Kingston, Ontario will process 120,000 tonnes of used tires per annum, and will include an R&D platform for downstream development of advanced applications using our end products.
In short, our activities put us in a leadership position internationally in solving the used tire problem in a highly profitable and sustainable manner.
